Saline County's "Celebration of Lights" is now called,
CHRISTMAS ON THE SQUARE!

     
Christmas at the Courthouse is truly the most wonderful time of the year! With over a million lights on display, the Courthouse becomes a magical place for children of all ages.  Santa Claus and his elves are at the Gazebo just waiting for the children to come and have their pictures made.
On Santa Nights, there is always FREE hot chocolate and cookies.  Churches, schools and civic organizations entertain on the stage during the evenings. The last 3 years we have had a Character Night with many characters showing up such as, Rudolph, Mickey & Minnie, the Chick-Fil-A Cow, Smarty the Fox from Recycle Saline, Frosty the Snowman, Holiday Hog, the Grinch, Bobber the Dog, Travelers Ace and even BATMAN!. We also have a Special Needs Night where Santa can accommodate visitors in wheelchairs and with other special needs. It is in the courthouse instead of the Gazebo. 

Saline County is listed on the “Arkansas Trail of Holiday Lights” drawing hundreds of visitors throughout the season.  There are many areas that are perfect for your Holiday Photos or fun props for your more silly pics. Christmas on the Square begins Thanksgiving Weekend and runs through New Year’s Eve.
